Naming Ceremonies

What better way to welcome a new baby or adopted child/children into their new world than with a totally unique ceremony at a venue that means everything to you?  A naming ceremony is quite different to the traditional Christening.  Christenings are usually held within normal Sunday service and there can be more than one family being Christened. I've seen 3 babies from different families in one service before.

A naming ceremony with me, just like all my other ceremonies, is completely bespoke to you. It's an opportunity to celebrate, mark personal commitment and to uphold the wellbeing, dreams and welfare for your precious little person. Choose as many guardian parents as you like. Call them God parents if you wish.  You can include poems, music, readings and even prayers or spiritual readings and rituals and call on the elements if that's for you. There are lots of little ways we can make this day more extraordinary.

Family Blending Ceremonies

Yours, Mine and Ours.

Make it a statement and celebration to blend your families together as one.  This is a beautiful ceremony for you and your children to express your loving relationship and feel connected. Other than the love of the family, the most powerful symbolisation is the show of the unity candle which you can include if you would like it. 

What are Mini Ceremonies?

There are lots of mini ceremonies to choose from to include on your special day. Most popular for Naming and family blending are the Unity Candle and the Sand ceremony.

The unity candle ceremony

 One of my favourites. You will each have your own lit candle and together you will light a larger candle which creates a massive flame. This symbolises yourselves as individuals and being stronger and brighter as a family.

The Sand ceremony

Your choice of coloured sands are blended together by each of the family members to create a gorgeous unique piece to keep which represents the joining of your family.
